American jockey (1931–2003) who once held the record for total victories, including four at the Kentucky Derby, two at the Preakness Stakes, and five at the Belmont Stakes. Shoemaker’s personal passport, number F913880, issued on September 16, 1965. Passport measures 3.75 x 6 and is filled out in type on the second page with his personal information, including his height, “4 feet 11 inches,” and signed at the bottom in blue ballpoint, “Billie Lee Shoemaker.” His matte-finish 3 x 3 passport photo is affixed to the opposite page, signed vertically in blue ballpoint, “Billie L. Shoemaker.” Most of the remaining pages are blank with one bearing a few visa stamps, including two from Argentina. In fine condition, with expected document wear. This passport was issued shortly after Shoemaker won his third Kentucky Derby, riding Lucky Debonair to victory on May 1, 1965.
