Three items: an unsigned original vintage 5.5 x 3.25 photograph of William H. Taft in a car at Abraham Lincoln's tomb in Springfield, Illinois, February 1911; a black-bordered mourning envelope, 5.5 x 3.5, addressed by Taft to "Mrs. A. E. Wallace, 1308 Potomack Avenue, Town," and franked in the upper right corner, "Helen H. Taft, Free"; and an ANS signed "Helen H. Taft," on the reverse of a black-bordered calling card imprinted with her name and address, "Mrs. Taft, 2215 Wyoming Avenue," in full: "I was very much pleased to see the Envelope bearing Mr. Taft's picture—Thank you very much for it." In fine condition, with light silvering to the darker areas of the image. Accompanied by two newspaper clippings regarding the Memorial to Titanic Victims and a boy scout placing a flag on William Howard Taft's grave at Arlington National Cemetery.
