First and fourth Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church (1748-1836). ALS signed “Wm: White,” one page, 8 x 10, July 23, 1817. White prepares to entertain. In part: “I have just now received your very friendly & polite note…not being under any interfering engagement, I shall be ready for your call.” Second integral page bears an address panel in White’s hand. In very good condition, with intersecting folds, separation along hinge, scattered wrinkling and creasing, and a few small edge tears. RRAuction COA.
