William Taft autograph letter signed on personal stationery, dated 17 May 1919, from Cleveland, Ohio. Taft asks Edward Bok, ''Ladies Home Journal'' editor in Philadelphia, to borrow Benjamin Harrison's ''This Gift of Ours'' when his train stops in Philadelphia on the way to Boston. Letter reads in part: ''...You would have to send it by a messenger to the train...I hope to mail you the article by special delivery from Boston...Sincerely yours, Wm. H. Taft''. Two page letter measures 5'' x 7.75''. Very good.
