Signed and inscribed on the first free end page, “To one of my oldest writing friends & a swell critic—with kindest regards—to Milton Merlin from Bill Saroyan, March 1936. Hollywood.” In very good condition, with a light shade of toning to signed page and inside covers (staining along hinge), and mild toning to spine (heavier along hinges). Dustjacket rates fine, with mild wear, as well as a statement affixed to the back from Random House indicating this is a review copy.
