An unmarked brown hat with 4" brim and 6 1/2" crown. Size 7 1/4" hat given to actor Dan White by Hart. "Used in Hart's silent films. Presented to Daniel White on March 24th 1939 as a birthday present from Bill Hart to Dan in the presence of Hoot Gibson and William Desmond. The hat was part of Dan White's costume in many westerns including "Red River" Includes letter signed Dan White 11/17/70

A tooled leather hatband with hearts and a sterling buckle added later by White.
