Brigadier general who was captured at Ball’s Bluff; he became disabled when a horse fell on him at Nelson’s farm. Original 2.25 x 4 three-quarter length carte-de-visite photo of Lee in uniform by J. E Tilton of Boston, signed in the lower border in black ink, “W. Raymond Lee, Col. 20th Regt Ms Vols.” Some light soiling to background, and a missing lower right corner tip, otherwise fine condition.
