British chemist (1852–1916) who discovered the noble gases and won the 1904 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. ALS, on a 3.5 x 5.5 postcard, November 19, 1906. Brief letter to an unidentified gentleman. In full: “Thanks for your poem which I read with much interest.” Letter is affixed to a 4.25 x 7 off-white card, with several collector notations along bottom. In fine condition, with some scattered light toning and soiling, as well as light postal impressions. Ramsay is uncommon in any form.
