New York: Bangs, Oct. 25-29, 1875. 8vo, original printed wraps. 102 pages; errata slip tipped in; 2400 + 1 lots (added lot in manuscript); 2, of 4, very fine mounted photographic plates. Hand-priced with buyers’ names throughout in pencil; occasional other interesting notes. Closed tear in first two leaves (no loss); spine weak, with front wrap detached but present. Very good or so. Inscribed in ink at head of title: “W Poillon of Bethune St.” Adams A: “Extensive proof gold. Silver center 1¢. 1804 $1. AU 1804 25¢. Superb English. 20 assay medals. Many early proofs.” Present is the plate depicting rare United States silver coins (including 1794 & 1804 dollars) and a few colonials and the plate illustrating a choice silver center cent, some colonials and large cents.
