Partly-printed DS as president, one page, 15.5 x 19.25, April 14, 1900. President McKinley appoints Garrison McCaskey “a First Lieutenant of Infantry.” Signed at the conclusion in black ink by McKinley, and countersigned by Secretary of War Elihu Root. Matted and framed to an overall size of 19 x 25. In fine condition, with last few letters of signature a bit light due to decrease in flow, and some light wrinkling. McCaskey served with the 15th Infantry Regiment in the Philippines. Oversized. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
