<B>William McKinley: An Interesting Pair of Display Items:</B></I> <BR><B>Glazed Plaque.</B></I> A most unusual, detailed glazed plaque in the form of his profile, with his name in relief at the bottom. Measures 3" x 4" and nearly 1" thick, much more massive than any similar tiles we have encountered from that era. Incised on the underside: "J.C. Williams, June 30 1904, LHW". <BR><B>Large Cowrie Shell Cameo.</B></I> The spotted outer layer has been removed, and then the under-layers have been carefully cut away to leave in relief lettering "WM. McKinley, Shot Sept. 6, Died Sept. 14, 2:15 am, 1901".
