William Lyman Document Signed, four integral pages written on page one, 9" x 14.5" April 2, 1808, London. Letter of introduction for John Ansley, Lord Mayor of London, and others. Small holes along the right edge were once bound, some weakness and tearing at the folds, else near very good. <BR>Lyman (1755-1811) was an American politician from Northampton, Massachusetts. He served in the both houses of the state legislature and represented Massachusetts in the United States House of Representatives from 1793 to 1797. In 1804 Lyman was made the U.S. consul in London.
