Biographical letter to Lida Perry of Woodbury, New Jersey. In part: “I was mustered into U. S. Service as Colonel of the 19th Regiment Kentucky Infantry Vols on January 2d, 1862, and was made Brig. Genl. by Brevet in 1865.” Professionally inlaid into a slightly larger sheet. In fine condition, with some trivial soiling.
