DS, 68 pages, 8.5 x 13, November 1, 1955. Agreement between Toluca Productions and Warner Bros. Pictures for a photoplay which “shall star Mr. William Holden…in the leading male role thereof and the producer-director of the photoplay shall be Mr. Mervyn LeRoy…The photoplay shall be based upon that certain 114-page screenplay…entitled ‘Toward the Unknown.’” Boldly signed at the conclusion by Holden as president of Toluca Productions, and also initialed four times throughout. In fine condition. Toward the Unknown, a movie about the dawn of supersonic flight, was filmed on location at Edwards Air Force Base and premiered there about a year later in October 1956. Holden was heavily involved in the production and had set up Toluca Productions in order to become a producer himself; however, he found it was too much additional work and thus Toward the Unknown became the only Toluca film.
