William Henry Harrison Memorial Ribbon, 2.75" x 7", white silk with black type, ca. 1840. A portrait of the late President Harrison is supplemented by his birth and death dates, a vignette of a lady mourning by a monument, and his "Dying Words" which read "Sir---I wish you to understand the true principles of the Government. I wish them carried out. I ask nothing more." Attractive graphics. Several small stains, edge fraying, and three creases. Good condition. Harrison's lasting fame in the political arena seems to derive from his aggressive campaign rather than from his 30 day presidency.

Shipping: Miscellaneous Collectibles, Smal (view shipping information)
