27th President William H. Taft signed photo as President. Taft signs the border beneath his image, ''To the members of the Detroit Board of Commerce June 3 1910 / Wm H Taft''. After his Presidency, Taft served as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, the only person to have held both positions. Image is credited in lower left to ''Harris & Ewing, Washington D.C.'' Matte photo measures 6.25'' x 9''. Faint ink staining and paper residue from previous mounting on verso. Overall very good condition.
