In a brief letter to the Honorable Edward Everett in Boston, Seward writes, in full: “I have received and thank you for the copy of the New York Ledger of the 6th instant containing your luminous and able article on the Pirate Alabama.” Six horizontal folds, some light soiling along the left and right edge, and a small tear to the bottom edge, otherwise fine condition.
