Vintage cabinet 6.75 x 9 portrait by Prince Studios of New York, signed and inscribed in the bottom border in ink, “W. F. Cody, ‘Buffalo Bill,’ To—W. S. Metz.” In very good condition, with a faint streak to the finish, scattered toning and light spotting to the mount, a trimmed top and bottom edge, and some slightly irregular adhesion to the signature and inscription. This photo raises the bar on the usual quality of Cody’s images.
