Letter to political journalist George Harvey, regarding Bermuda climate and a letter of Harvey's published in the New York Evening Post, in part: "I gave out your letter to be published and read the proof myself-leaving out what was personally addressed to me...I see that you have been giving out your views of the money question and am glad that you find interested listeners. Of the taste for the arts in Bermuda you do not speak." In fine condition, with scattered soiling and irregular toning to edges. William Cullen Bryant joined the staff of the New York Evening Post in 1826, and was editor from 1830-1878. Provenance: The Everett Fisher Collection.
