This original portrait on canvas is recognizable as the uplifting final scene of the musical "Annie", and it also is the image that appeared on a famous collector plate produced by the Edwin M. Knowles China Co, and distributed by the Bradford Exchange. This is the very painting from which 65,000 plates were produced, and saved by admiring collectors. Until now, the artist, William Chambers, held this painting in his personal collection, along with all his originals from the collector plates series. From there he began his * studies and graduated from at the American Academy of Art in Chicago. * * * After graduation from the American Academy , he apprenticed for * several years at Magee Inc. a top illustration studio. He continued * his career as an illustrator working at another Jack O'Grady studios * in Chicago. While working in illustration he became more engrossed in * portrait painting. * * By 1979, he decided to strike out on his own as a portrait painter. Entire Agreement; Waiver. This Agreement, including the Universal’s User Agreement and all exhibits and other documents are incorporated herein by reference, set forth the entire understanding and agreement of the parties and supersede any and all other written or oral agreements or understandings between the parties as to the subject matter of this Agreement. In the event of an inconsistency between this Agreement and any other document, which is part of this Agreement, the terms of this Agreement shall govern. From time to time during the term of this Agreement, Universal Collectibles, Universal B&I or Universal Live Auctions may amend this Agreement (including any incorporated documents) by posting the amended terms on any Universal site, emailing notice of the amendment to the Buyer, or otherwise communicating such amendment to the Buyer. Each amendment will be effective immediately after it is initially posted on any Universal site, emailed to the Buyer, or otherwise communicated to the Buyer. The waiver of a breach of any provision of this Agreement will not operate or be interpreted as a waiver of any other or subsequent breach.
