William Bendix Archive of Scripts and Personal Mementos. A small treasure trove of scripts and mementos from the screen actor, best known for The Babe Ruth Story, Lifeboat, and The Life of Riley. Lot contains a three-ring binder filled with newspaper clippings and photos, a VHS copy of Guadalcanal Diary, two cassette tapes featuring the radio version of The Life of Riley, two large manila envelopes featuring photos, and 20 leather-bound scripts.

Housed in clear plastic sheets, the binder has newspaper clippings and black and white photos (of various sizes) about Bendix's adoption and christening of his daughter Stephanie Ann, as well as pictures and negative sheets of Stephanie growing up with Bendix and his wife, Theresa. Also includes mementos like a certificate of her first haircut, receipts, and forms. Also includes wedding photos and stationary for said wedding. Has a promo photo of Bendix signed and inscribed to Stephanie. The two manila folders have large prints of Bendix and his family.

The leather-bound scripts (which measure approx. 8 ½" x 11 ¼" each and all carry his name on the front cover) are for the following projects: Two-Faced Quilligan, Stars Over Hollywood, Woman of the Year, Where There's Life, Long Voyage Home, Blue Ribbon Town, A Bell For Adano, Brooklyn Bridget, Calcutta, Brooklyn Orchid, Redheads Are Dangerous, China, Greenwich Village, Dark Corner, It's In the Bag, The Hairy Ape, Sentimental Journey, Two Years Before the Mast, Wake Island, and Variety Girl.

Overall, collection is in Very Good condition. Plenty of toning on the scripts, as well as fold marks and tears. There is wear and scuffing on the leather binding. Photos are of various condition. COA from Heritage Auctions.
