William Bailey (1930 - ) pursued his art career at Yale, where he befriended Willem De Kooning and Jackson Pollock. He developed a neat, and modern style, with a new perception on the still life. Bailey has exhibited in the U.S. and Europe, and his work is found in the permanent collections of the Whitney Museum, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Joseph Hirshhorn Muesum. He has won a Guggenheim Fellowship, and was elected to the American Academy and Institute of Arts and Letters. He has taught art for many years, and continues to teach at this Alma Mater. *
