Union naval officer (1803–1891) who served as assistant surgeon on board the gunboat Miami. Original 2.25 x 4 full-length carte-de-visite photo by Hope of New York, signed on the reverse in black ink, “Yours most truly, William B. Mann.” In fine condition, with lightly clipped corner tips and small pencil notations and revenue stamp remnant to reverse.
