William Anders - Lot of 19 Signed Apollo 8 First Day Covers. A rare opportunity for a dealer or collector to purchase a group of authentic signatures from this difficult-to-obtain Apollo astronaut. Anders was the Lunar Module pilot on the Apollo 8 mission, and he was the one who took the legendary "Earthrise" image that appears on these covers' stamps. All the FDCs in this lot are postmarked Houston, Texas, May 5, 1969, celebrating the first day of issue of Scott #1371. All but two bear the official cachet from the NASA Manned Spacecraft Center Stamp Club and nine of these have blocks of four stamps. All are signed "Bill Anders" in black felt-tip and none are inscribed. Very fine condition. From the estate of Dr. D. Owen Coons, Chief of NASA's Manned Spacecraft Center Medical Office.

Shipping: Flat Material, Small (view shipping information)
