Three items: TLS signed “Will J.,” one page, 6.5 x 7, James Ranch letterhead, August 28, 1931. In full: “I wrote the review for ‘Buckaroo’ some weeks ago, and being I lost your letter and address some way I sent the review to the publishers of the book, The MacMillan Company. It looks to me like they should of notified you, and I wish you would get it from them. They wrote me and said they liked the review very much, and if you can’t get it from them I’ll send you a copy”; and two 7 x 9.25 sheets, individually signed and inscribed in fountain pen, “To George, Here’s hoping that all the boulders in your trail are small”, and “To Dick—Stay a long time, cowboy.” In overall very good condition, with a tear along the horizontal fold, missing upper left and right corners, scattered chipping and light soiling to the letter; the pages show mild to moderate toning and soiling and a diamond-shaped stamp to each.
