First edition, inscribed and dated by the author on the front pastedown endpaper. Octavo (8.25” x 5.5”). x, 431 pages. Illustrated with wonderful western drawings by James. Publisher's green cloth, pictorially stamped in black on the front cover, and lettered in gilt on the front cover and spine. Front board slightly creased, spine sunned and a bit faded, otherwise a very good copy.
