This is an early original Wilkes-Barre Gun Co. double barrel side by side shotgun in 12 gauge. The shotgun is from circa 1892-1895 and shows a deluxe damascus steel barrel. The receiver shows excellent factory etching and is marked under the barrels, "PAT'D NOV. 3, 90. 1117." The shotgun shows a hammer and center fire pin action and is believed to be ready to use. This has an excellent beautiful design and shows overall good condition for its age with signs of wear. Serial number 1117. No FFL required. The Wilkes-Barre Gun Co. operated from 1892 to 1895. Charles and Ernest Roth bought out Parry Firearms Co. in Ithaca, New York in 1892 and moved the company to Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania around 1893. They made single and double barrel shotguns until they went bankrupt. Ithaca Gun Co. bought the assets October 1, 1895.
