German pianist (1884–1969) known for his interpretation of romantic music. Untranslated ANS in German signed “Wilhelm Backhaus, 27. Januar 1929,” on a trimmed off-white 6 x 3.25 card. In fine condition, with a light pencil notation to the top right corner. Accompanied by a handsome, unsigned photo and two vintage clippings for recitals in 1929.
