Wild Bill Elliott's screen-worn tunic from his leading role as Maj. John Freeman in the 1939 film Frontiers of '49. The beige Western-style tunic features brown leather accent stitching around the collar and two chest pockets, and is decorated with fringe on the sleeves and shoulders. A strap at the bottom is designed to keep the tunic tucked in, which bears a United Costumers, Inc. label with the name struck through, stamped as "No. 4793, L. 42." Elliott wore this style tunic for all his Columbia films, but this one can be traced to this film due to it having two pockets. In fine condition, with light staining to sleeves. A fantastic screen-worn piece from the rugged Western hero.
