Whitney Plymouth Model 1861, .69 caliber Navy rifle with 34” barrel, iron mountings, and long range rear sight with stud for bayonet. This rifle shows a light gray to brown patina finish with some original arsenal bright. The wood is good tovery good with some small losses along the ramrod channel and a W inspector’s marks just behind the rear lock plate screw. The tang is numbered 4756.
