Whitney-Kennedy lever action rifle, 24” round barrel, full magazine, rifle butt in good to very good condition good to very good condition, 44-40 cal., #N954. The barrel and magazine tube show 50%-70% original blue, some light to moderatescattered erosion and surface pitting and some evidence of heavier pitting that has been cleaned around the sight; the frame shows 30%-50% original blue, also some erosion and pitting and light cleaning; the stocks are near fine with 90%original varnish with some minor scratches and small losses. The action is good, the bore near excellent; the barrel markings are sharp; the original rear sight is retained an original front sight post shows large replacement blade which isof the period. A crisp rifle with exceptional stocks that shows evidence of exposure to the elements and moisture. Est.: $2,500-$5,000.
