Whitewater Scandal $6-Million Dollar Check!
An exceedingly rare and intriguing piece of modern American history, presented here is an original bank check from the Whitewater Development Company. A name which notoriously became linked to then President Bill Clinton, Whitewater Development Company was the firm in which Clinton and partner Jim McDougal created to facilitate a multi-million dollar real estate development deal, which, in the end, after millions of lost dollars and endless scandal, cost Jim McDougal his life and almost cost Clinton his presidency. Perhaps accounting for a few of those missing millions, presented here is a bank check, dated September 27, 1995, drawn on Whitewater Development Co.'s business account, made payable to Gary Owens for $6 million dollars! Signing off on this check is Jim McDougal, who, when blowing the whistle on President Clinton and all parties involved, suddenly died of heart failure while in prison. In overall very good condition, with moderate edge wear and scattered impressions across. This is by far one of the most interesting pieces we have ever encountered! Est. 3000 - 3500
