Camille Hilaire (birth-death), ?White Sailboats? giclee canvas print.
Camille Hilaire was born in Metz in 1916, where he spent his youth and studied. Between 1930 and 1936, he began to draw by his own inclination and became impassioned by Dürer. He entered the Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts de Paris in 1941 and became friends with Andre Lhote and Jacques Villon. Named professor of drawing at the Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts de Nancy in 1947, he pursued this career at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Paris from 1958.
Hilaire extends our imaginary world toward an enchanting nature that he brings to life in a bubbling of form and color. From the first glance, two universes confront each other and find equilibrium in a lyric explosion. Such visual emotion emanates from a framework where relationships of mass and surface combine with harmonies of color betraying a skillful maturity that is yet always in search of invention.
This is an excellent reproduction of a work by world renowned artist Camille Hilaire. Richly displaying the deep blues and vibrant yellows of the original, this picture is a showcase of the level of skill that Hilaire is so sought after for. The deepness of the blues masterfully portrays the almost tangible darkness of a night on the ocean. Excellently framed in a white wood frame that helps to accent the white of the sails in the picture, this piece measures 20.5? x 26.5?. An excellent buy for any art lover.
