Jade carving in shape of an auspicious ruyi scepter with lingzhi fungus as symbols of longevity
This white jade carving was made in China and has the shape of a ruyi scepter, which is plastically worked all-round with a naturalistic curved shape. The word ‘ruyi’ means ‘as you wish’ and this Jade comes in a pure white and consistent color of the highest quality. Many small lingzhi fungus, symbols of longevity, adorn the sides and on the shaft a little boy is visible, who clings to the lingzhi.
The translucent jade is in very good condition with hardly any signs of use and the length measures 16 cm.
