<B>Whimsical Anti-Suffragette Figure.</B></I> Unlike other similarly made items, this was actually produced as an anti-woman's suffrage item, despite the "Votes for Women" motto on its base. A cartoonish looking suffragette with mouth open and extending oversized fists is demanding the right to vote. Made of bisque and marked "Germany", the figure was made to exaggerate the issue and to discourage women from being overly militant. Beautiful condition, with virtually intact original paint (often worn on such items).
