Westley Richards double rifle with Anson- Deeley box lock action in .450-400 Express caliber for 3” shell serial number 08812 on the tang and barrels. The rifle remains in original good to very good condition showing 80% to 90% originalblue on the barrel evenly thinning at the edges with just some slight normal aging. The frame shows 50% plus original case hardening drifting to silvery gray. The removable bottom plate and trigger guard show 50% plus original blue withsome losses at the gripping areas. The stock is good with normal wear, some minor scratches and losses with about 50% original finish. An old recoil pad has been added and needs replacement. The stock measures 13 ½” the end of the wood and14 ½” to the end of the butt plate. The rifle is fitted with five leaf folding sights graduated to 500 yards. The rifle is also equipped with automatic ejectors and locks tight with good bores. A contemporary leather case made for thisrifle is included. Westley Richards in shootable calibers are always desirable. The rifle measures 42 ½” overall with 26” barrels and weighs 10.5 pounds. Est.: $12,500-$25,000
