Westley Richards 12ga boxlock shotgun, two-barrel set, barrels marked “The Federal”. Blue and case hardened finish, select burl walnut stock, English style straight grip, double-trigger, auto ejectors, in itsoriginal leather over oak case with brass trim. Serial #T8150. #1 set of barrels measures 30”, choked Improved Modified (right) and Full (left). Shows 2-3/4” marking and British nitro proofs for 1-1/4oz loads.#2 set of barrels measures 27”, choked Open or Cylinder, also nitro proofed for 1-1/4oz loads, serial numbered to match. The gun shows an excellent English quality refinish and restocking. The finish is 90-95%. Someslight thinning, minor use, some firing. The stock is probably American workmanship with beautiful select burl walnut, crisp checkering, and good quality styling. The stock measures 14-3/4” to the end of thewood, 15-3/4” to the end of the leather pad, fitted for a tall man. The case is in fine to near excellent condition and shows a Westley Richards trade label with Conduit address and is of a later period than the gun’s
