A large, pictorial beaded tobacco bag featuring Indian chiefs in full headdresses on running horses. The same design appears on both sides, however, in differing colors. A multitude of bead colors include white-heart red, cobalt, pale blue, green, yellow and white. Beadwork continues up the sides and around the mouth. Two 17" tassels hang off one side and are finished in beadwork and fringe. Red, green and white dyed quill-wrapped slats are attached between the body and the long fringe. 41" long overall, 7.5" wide. Circa 1890. Metal wall stand included.
