1st. century BCE round plaque jade ornament decorated with 3 dragons in high relief on the obverse side that is convex. The reverse side is decorated in bas relief and has a central round depression. This is an exquisite carving in open work and high relief in green jade that now has age partial calcination. Diameter: 3" (7.5 cm.). Provenance: Dr. Veleanu's jade collection, the author of collectors textbook: "Jade, 5000 BC to 1912 AD, Guide to collectors". Estimated retail value: $1400.
