Wesson & Leavitt patent Dragoon by Mass. Arms Co. 40 cal, 6 shot cyl, 7-1/8” barrel, 15” overall, serial #182. The revolver remains in good original condition showing faint traces of original colors mixed in with aneven patina with some minor erosion and pinprick pitting. The grips are very good plus with at least 80% varnish and minor scratches with some minimal wear at edges. The markings are good and sharp, the actiontight, the bore bright. One of approx 800 produced a decade before the Civil War. Refer Flayderman 7A -055. From an old N.Y collector’s estate. Est.;$1,750-$3,500.
