German composer (1901–1983) best known for his ballets and operas. He attracted criticism for his Nazi ties during World War II, but later became known as the “composer of reconstruction” for his work following the war. Vintage matte-finish 4.75 x 7 head-and-shoulders photo, signed in fountain pen in the lower border. In fine condition, with some subtle crazing to emulsion at upper left, and a bit of light feathering to signature.
