<td width="100%">
Very unusual antiue white painted early 19th century table from Wales is hand carved with thick raised leaf and berry design.The recessed background has floral and fern leaf motif. The thick edges surrounding the unusual shape have carving resembling small fish scales. The background has ornate carving resembling shagreen leather with a deeper shade than the raised motif. The table top is removable,made with wide troughs which fit snugly over the top of each leg tongue and offers great stability. The base is hinged in the center and folds flat. Carved with same motif as the table. A small separation of the board on the top and leg from age,will not widen and would be filled in if a new coat of paint was added. The current finish appears to be original to the piece. Construction in excellent condition. A wonderful side table or coffee table for interior or exterior.Measures 23H X 23.25W X 22.25D.
