<td width="100%">
Unique Welsh 19th century table is carved with thick raised leaf and berry design and a lower floral and fern leaf motif. The thick edges surrounding the unusual shape have carving resembling small fish scales. The same leaf and berry is seen on the folding base legs with hinges and wood tongue attachment. The area below the leaf design takes on a shagrin leather grainy look. The top lifts off and has a two inch wooden trough which fits over the 4 legs for stability. Off white in color with the background as tiny and intricate is the carving that takes on a an almost gray hue. A most unusual and definitely antique appeal. Is in great condition with a small separation of the board on the top and leg from age. Will not widen and if repainted in the future would be filled in. Just adds to the aged design. As the piece breaks down so small,could be used on a porch a portion of the year and stored for winter but a gorgerous piece to use year round. Measures 23H X 23.25W X 22.25D.
