Manufactured in 1904. The top of the barrel is marked with the short three line address ending with the 1895 patent date and the left rear of the frame is marked with the circled Rampant Colt. The butt is marked "W.F. & Co. A. 19". The matching assembly number is marked on the frame, crane and cylinder release. Standard blade front and frame notch rear sights and fitted with replacement checkered hard rubber grips with the stylized "C" around the screw and "COLT" in an oval at the top. Colt Factory Letter dated March 17, 1993 states: 38/c, 4 1/2 inch barrel, blue, factory engraved "Wells Fargo A19 on butt", shipped to Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Co of Chicago, IL. For: Wells Fargo on March 12, 1904.

Condition: Good. The revolver retains 10% original blue finish concentrated mainly in protected areas, with a smooth mottled brown patina on the balance. There are a few scattered minor dings. The grips are also good with a small chip on the left toe, a few scattered minor dings, and crisp checkering. With the exception of the third line of the barrel address, which is fading, the markings are clear. The action is fine.
