Welles, Orson
Welles, Orson. Typed Letter Signed "Orson" with handwritted salutation, "Dearest Kendis," and a few corrections in his hand, 7¾x 5¾ in., no place, no date. "This is about the ill-omened Question-and-Answer session with the kids from that college…I've finally found a set-up which will make it possible to do this in the intimate, surrounded, mini-ampitheatre [sic] way you recommend. It also…will accomodate a full hour and a half, or two-hour symposium or seminar or whatever--just on the subject of FILM, and just for them….there won't be any need to keep on a large union crew during the Cinema discussion…." He goes on to give possible dates. Fine except for one smear to the "O" in the signature. The accompanying envelope has "O. Welles typed on the return flap. "Kendis" was Kendis Rochlen, the movie columnist for the Los Angeles Mirror-News during the 1950s.
