This long-running bronze age title came out at a time when America was torn asunder by the Vietnam war. Because of 'Nam, war comics gained in popularity and, as the quagmire of the U.S. forces in Asia dragged on, this title was the perfect relief-valve for the nation's frustration. Most of the stories in this title focused on World War II battles, where the Allied forces had the upper hand and won, with very odd and macabre twists. This title is once again gaining popularity with fans. While this copy has a printer's crease on the back cover, there is only one copy that has graded NM+ 9.6 as of this writing (and none that are graded higher). Overstreet 2003 NM 9.4 value = $300. <B>Estimate: $600-up</B> </FONT></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE><BR><!--<a name="PricesRealized"></a> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" bgcolor="#000000"> <tr> <td width="100%"> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="3"> <tr> <td width="100%" bgcolor="#79735C"> <a name="PR"> <font face="arial" size="3" color="#FFFFFF"> <b>Previous Prices from Heritage Auctions</b> </td> </tr> <tr> <td bgcolor="#F6F6ED"> No Prior Data Recorded </td> </tr> <tr> <td bgcolor="#FFFFFF"> <font face="arial" size="1""> PLEASE NOTE: All prices realized reflect the final hammer price PLUS the buyer's premium in auctions that charge a buyer's premium. On occasion eBay live bid software cannot keep up with the pace of the auctions where 4-5 lots per minute can hammer down, so we recommend that you place a realistic absentee bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Also please note that all Heritage/CAA lots purchased through eBay Live carry a 20% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions.
