<B>Weekly Comic Magazine 1st version (Fox, 1940) Condition: VF.</B></I> This was Fox's answer to the Spirit Sections, though we'll note that it's actually dated a few weeks <I>earlier</B></I> than the first Spirit insert! It's on newsprint, intended to be folded (which this copy is) as well as cut (which this copy <I>isn't</B></I>). While it says "Trenton Sunday Times May 12,1940" at the top, we assume that this was printed as a speculative endeavor by Fox and that the section was never actually distributed. It's got 8 pages of the Blue Beetle and 7 pages of Patty O'Day (who was a backup feature in <B>Wonder Comics</B></I>). The pages of this copy are very nice and supple considering the type of paper and its age. Overstreet notes, "two copies known to exist."
