Wedgwood Curd Cheese Mold
A fine Wedgwood creamware (earthenware) curd cheese mold, dating to the late 18th or early 19th century. The piece features a distinctive three-tiered, stepped circular form with a flat base. The entire body, including the tiers and the bottom, is decoratively perforated with a pattern of small, circular pierced holes designed for drainage. It is finished in a plain, cream-colored lead glaze typical of early creamware, where the primary aesthetic interest is derived from the architectural form and the precise piercing. The piece bears an impressed WEDGWOOD mark located on the interior ledge of the middle tier. Dimensions: Not provided.
