<td width="100%">
This 13.5" round 3-footed platter was made by Webster Wilcox Oneida. It has a couple of scratches in the center but is otherwise in wonderful condition! The Wilcox Silver Plate Co. has a history dating back to 1865. This company was based in Meriden, Connecticut, and was one of the original firms that helped form the International Silver Company in 1898. The factory shut down in 1941 due to a metal shortage during W.W.II. In 1961, the company trademark was changed to Webster-Wilcox, and was a producer of expensive holloware (silver serving platters). Oneida purchased Webster-Wilcox in 1983.
