Webley Model 1913 MK1 Navy Semi-Automatic Pistol Inscribed to an Officer of the Manchester Regiment with Research and Display Case

Patridge front sight and windage adjustable rear. Dated 1914 on the left side of the slide, with the Webley "winged bullet" logo next to "WEBLEY & SCOTT Ltd/PISTOL SELF-LOADING '455 MARK I N", and the right side engraved "Lieut. H.F. Owen-Evans./The Manchester Regt.". English crown and broad arrow military proofs are on many of the parts, and commercial-style tonnage and nitro proofs are present on the underside of the barrel. Frame is equipped with a grip safety, serrated ring hammer, serrated slide catch, lanyard ring, magazine release on the butt, and checkered hard rubber grips. Included with the pistol is a clear lexan display case, a hat badge for the Manchester Regiment, and copies of research performed on the Lieutenant; available information is limited due to loss of old records, though the data available indicates that he was later promoted to Captain, while implying an injury in the First World War and service in the Second World War.

Fine with 50% of the faded original blue finish, showing a mixed brown and gray patina overall, bright edge wear and scattered scratches. The grips are very fine with some light dents. The display case is fair, showing some home repairs. Mechanically excellent.
